Thank you all for helping make Chase the Ace a big success for youth sports in Mount Pearl
In addition to our many sport club volunteers who helped to ensure ticket sales ran smoothly and parking lot safety was maintained, there are some special mentions.
Many loyal patrons were there from early days, buying tickets when prizes were still peanuts, and contributing to a fun atmosphere – the first four months for sure.
Greg Noble, Jim Bulger, Karen Barnes, Robert Hayes, Damian Masterson and Shelley O’Brien who committed to being there weekly to be sure things went smoothly. Long time Sport Alliance supporter, Pat Cochrane, MP School of Martial Arts, who called and offered to help, and supervised the parking lot volunteers for the last four months.
The City – Council, management and staff – providing advice, human resources, equipment, and pulling in outside resources. The RNC, SJRFD, Emergency Services, St. John Ambulance and Service NL for their expertise and experience.
And of course Meghan was our rock through the whole campaign – coordinating member sports and volunteers, controlling ticket sales and cash, purchasing supplies and promotions, stroking people when needed and straightening others out when needed :), and so much more. Oh yeah, she developed into quite a media personality as well. ;)
